I uploaded a pdf excerpt of 'Cuttings of Time' to Issuu. The preview is about 38 pages and can be viewed as an interactive slideshow.
The page numbers shown in the preview might change as time goes on as I am rethinking some of the photographs that I have included thus far.
Friday was spent in the company of a family friend that I last saw a little more than a year ago and we had a great time talking about all sorts of stuff until he mentioned wishing that he had brught his camera. He has a Nikon D2 and I told him I wanted the D3. At this point we abandoned my father to his own compnay as the two of us launched into an epic discussion of the beauty that is the D2, the settings, the great shots that he's taken, the prints he's made etc. It was great.

These are two screencasts of old projects I did while getting my media studies degree.
The first - In fall 1999 I created an online gallery of the work I did for the semester.

I've captured the raw footage of the first video I'm going to place on the site. It's a look back at some of the past art work I created. It's not just static art, some of it was interactive and I'm lucky that some of it still works in today's browsers. There were quite a few that no longer work. I have to schedule some time for editing and once it is complete I will post.
Update 6/5/2008:
Lulu is apparently not going to be affected by Amazon's POD demands because they have signed the contract and given in to Amazon's demands. This means that if I did publish with Lulu which is still the plan) I would be okay.
Lulu has not issued an official statement on the Amazon POD demands. According to Writer's Weekly, Print on Demand publishers are being told to use Amazon's own BookSurge POD printer or else Amazon will disable the "buy" button for their books. Several POD publishers have had their buy buttons disabled. Amazon/BookSurge wants to eventually "have no books from other POD publishers available on Amazon.com."
Bettina Walter on the "Clearly it Works" blog posted a tidbit of advice that photographers should photograph the name card in addition to the artwork when they take photos at an exhibition or a gallery. This makes it wasy as she says "to [give] credit, where credit is due."
I am going to start creating videos and posting them here on the process I went through putting the book together. I have outlines of what the first four will cover.
1) The idea that started the whole process and how I decided to turn it into a book. How I decided todigitize my film negatives and the equipment I used, and still own.
2) My cataloging process and the different software involved.
3) Moving from the catalog towards a book draft. Narrowing down to a few hundred from a few thousand images.
I used to participate in PhotoShop Tennis games at the Sitepoint forums around 2002.
What is 'PhotoShop Tennis'?
"Photoshop tennis is a game played through sequential alternating photoshopping of an image.
I have made a few of my photographs into free jigsaw puzzles that can be downloaded and solved. Each puzzle is a separate .exe file and the puzzle can be saved and completed later if you don't finish it in one session. If you solve a puzzle and would like to re-solve at a later time, delete the .sav file that the program creates.
Red Rose - 154 pieces
White Rose - 117 pieces; the pieces are also rotated
Added images from September 2007 visit to England to the gallery. Visited Leeds Castle, Cantebury and Dover.
I switched over to the Drupal CMS. I briefly thought about using Gallery with Drupal but I thought it would be overkill. After a brief search I found Drupal School also has a video demonstrating how to implement the handbook example Drupal School: 009 Maintainable Gallery. I followed along with the video and also read the handbook entry HowTo: Create an image gallery using only CCK and Views. A few customizations later, I had something ready to replace the old site.
